Liquisorb 5500™ is a liquid additive that is added to wax to stabilize the color.
Once the wax has been heated and liquefied, add a percentage of approximately 0.2-0.4% by weight (2-4 g on 1 kg of wax) and mix well.
This additive is recommended for stabilizing colors (especially plant-based colors) against UV-induced color variations; its use is also recommended when adding fragrances to the wax that could cause color changes.
It can also be used in diffuser fragrances that are colored.
Its main applications are in the following sectors:
- Candles
- natural and synthetic waxes
- speaker bases
- polymers (PP, LDPE, HDPE...)
