Liquisorb 5500™ is a liquid additive added to wax to stabilize color.
Once the wax is heated and melted, add about 0.2-0.4% by weight (2-4 grams per 1 kg of wax) and mix well.
This additive is recommended to stabilize colors (especially vegetable-based ones) against changes caused by UV rays; it is also advised to use it when adding fragrances to the wax that might alter the color shade.
It can also be used in colored diffuser fragrances.
Its main applications are in the following sectors:
- Candles
- Natural and synthetic waxes
- Diffuser bases
- Polymers (PP, LDPE, HDPE...)
