100% natural product made in Italy. Contains no chemicals or resins.
Very easy to use; does not form lumps.
White plaster made from alpha calcium sulfate hemihydrate, obtained from selected stone treated with a special firing process. Characterized by high fineness, surface hardness, compressive strength, and excellent castability, it is characterized by excellent detail reproduction. It is used to create particularly hard and precise works: containers, jars, figurines, and any object.
The final product is very hard and durable; it looks and sounds like ceramic. The results and hardness are very similar to those of Jesmonite.
Directions: Place 100 g of water in a container and gradually add 370 g of plaster. Mix well, avoiding bubbles. Pour into a silicone mold or other plastic or rubber mold.
Respect the water-gypsum ratio exactly.
Plaster can be waterproofed using Acrylic Resin Hardener (code: COM-GPLAST-1), which also gives it greater hardness (essential when reproducing thin details that tend to break); the second method for waterproofing plaster is to apply a coat of Globalpur MC 10/120 Gloss Plaster Varnish (code: GPURMC10120). This product also provides a glossy finish, but since it is applied only to the surface, it does not increase the mechanical properties of the plaster.
If I want to pour wax into the plaster container I've created to make a candle, I don't necessarily need to add a waterproofing agent (the wax doesn't penetrate the plaster). This step is recommended only if I want to wash the plaster container after the candle is finished to remove any smoke or residual wax.
