The melter can also be used for heat-treating beeswax. By replacing the water in the jacket with high-temperature diathermic oil, the system can reach temperatures higher than those achievable with a standard water bath.

In this configuration, it can be used to heat wax to temperatures around 120 °C, when required by the specific heat treatment process.

When using diathermic oil, only fluids suitable for the equipment must be used, and the technical and safety instructions regarding temperature, pressure, and fluid properties must be followed.
