100% natural product, made in Italy.
Contains no chemicals or resins.
Very easy to use: does not form lumps.
White gypsum based on alpha hemihydrate calcium sulfate, obtained from a selected stone and treated with a special baking process.
Thanks to its characteristics of high fineness, surface hardness, compressive strength, and excellent castability, it stands out for its high capacity to reproduce details.
It is used for making high-precision and hard objects: containers, jars, figurines, and any other artifact.
The final product is very hard and durable; in appearance and sound, it resembles a ceramic product.
Offers results and hardness characteristics very similar to Jesmonite.
Instructions for use
Pour 100 g of water into a container and gradually add 370 g of gypsum.
Mix thoroughly, avoiding the formation of air bubbles.
Pour into a silicone mold or other plastic or rubber material.
Wait about 2 hours before removing it from the mold.
Strictly follow the water/gypsum ratio.
Waterproofing
Gypsum can be waterproofed in two ways:
-
Using the Hardening Acrylic Resin (code: COM-GPLAST-1), which also provides greater hardness (essential for reproducing fine details prone to breakage).
-
Applying a coat of Globalpur MC 10/120 Glossy Paint for Gypsum (code: GPURMC10120).
The latter provides a glossy finish but, being applied only on the surface, does not increase the mechanical properties of the gypsum.
If you use the gypsum container to cast wax (for example, to make candles), it is not necessary to apply a waterproofing agent, as the wax does not penetrate the material.
This treatment is recommended only if you want to wash the container after use to remove smoke or wax residues.
