Does your candle require a UFI code?

Check whether a UFI code may be required at your chosen fragrance concentration and explore indicative CLP guidance for your label.

The assessment covers candles made with a non-hazardous vegetable wax, such as soy wax, and one Proreuse fragrance at different concentrations. The tool helps identify concentrations at which a UFI code may not be required.

The tool considers fragrance safety data, concentration, CLP criteria and ECHA guidance. Results are indicative and should be checked by a qualified professional.

The service provides preliminary guidance and, where available, approved technical assessments for the stated composition, concentration and market. It is not a certification. The absence of a UFI/PCN obligation does not exclude CLP requirements or supplemental statements such as EUH208. Other compositions or markets require a specific assessment. CLP labelling does not replace other candle safety warnings.
