Tips on using soy wax to avoid surface imperfections

Some defects that can appear on the surface of candles made with soy wax are the following:

 

By varying the pouring temperature, an improvement can already be achieved. Here are the results obtained by pouring soy wax at 50, 60 or 70 °C. The best result seems to be obtained at 60 °C.

 

 

To obtain a completely smooth and defect-free surface, it is advisable to perform a second pouring of about 1 cm of soy wax over the cooled candle. Here are the results obtained:

 

Finally, we recommend heating the glass jar before pouring the wax to achieve perfect adhesion of the wax to the glass.
